How
it works
This is side by side 'dual racing' where you'll
be match against other RaceMeisters who are your same speed
and ability. You'll have two chances to beat your opponent.
Once in each course. If you beat your opponent, you earn two
points. Then, you switch courses for the second run and if you
win again, you earn two more points for four potential points
for the night. Courses are easy with single gate panels, one
Red and the other Blue. Every other week will be 'Caboose Night'
when the slower racers go first and have a smooth course. The
most important thing is to be on time for your start. There's
no reruns for missed starts. Racing starts promptly at 7PM and
we'll race two runs then move on to drills in gates or get some
fast freeski runs in. Parents can meet you at the bottom of
the hill at the end of the night. A

'Qualifying':
Your first Friday we'll qualify you with racing beginning at
7:30PM
We call it 'Qualifying' but all we need is to establish a 'time'
on you to see who you'll be matched up with when
paired racing starts on the second week. We'll have
plenty of qualified coaches to show you how to take the course.
The courses are easy, swing gates in a Giant Slalon format.
If you can ride the chair, you qualify!! Kids under 8 will need
to be qualified on an individual basis by our staff.
Paired
Racing: After we qualify everyone your first night, we'll
start paired racing on the second week and race six weeks more
for a total of seven weeks that includes qualifying.
Times
Racing: 6:45 Arrival at Finish area. 7:30PM to 9PM for dual
racing
Arrive no later than 6:45 and be ready to go. (That means dropping
by the restrooms so we don't have to stop during the night)
PARENTS
PICK UP YOUR RACER AT THE FINISH AREA AT 9PM SHARP
Cost:
$210 for seven weeks.
Requirements: Ages between 8 and 13 (Younger racers will
be accepted on an individual basis based on skiing ability and
independence.)
We are racing on full length CityLeague
courses and a fairly strong skiing ability is needed. If you
have signed up and we feel your skiing ability needs another
season, we'll let you know and refund your full entry.
-You must wear a helmet.
-You must be able to ride the chairlift independently and skiing
parallel or nearly parallel.
